In other words, while surfing ebay (or elsewhere) in search of interesting watches, is there a single word found in an advert that triggers an automatic "pass" for you? I'll kick things off with: microns
Net. If I'm looking at forum ads, and see something like "$1,999 net to me, paypal only," I move on. Requiring paypal, then requiring the buyer to pay fees, is against paypal's terms of service, and can get your account deleted. Besides, it's just greedy. Paypal fees are a cost of doing business, and should be borne by the seller. Many forums have explicit directions prohibiting this in the B/S/T sticky.
Me too. I like solid stuff, whether it is steel or gold, it needs to be so all the way through. I start off with the "-(filled, plated, microns, gf)... but usually end up adding abbreviations I hadn't thought of.
Oh, this is only for vintage - sorry. I guess with vintage I hate seeing "investment-grade" as I'd hate to miss out on a beautiful watch so some yob can squirrel it away in his safe for a few years, just so he can make a buck on it
Shipping/send to...conus 48/UK only/Versand nach Deutschland/etc, etc... ONLY. Sweden has been a civilized country since around 1000 anno domini.
What a pain... I think it's because some people are afraid of dealing with international shipping, or are afraid they're more likely to be scammed? I was terrified the first time I had to ship something international, but it went through well. Nowadays, Parcel Pro is a great way to go
For me, two: Rare (really?) Shipping only to CONUS (poor guys in Hawaii and Puerto Rico... or Europe, Asia, Australia...)
Ahhh I forgot the better: All original! (If you need to point it out, it is probably because it is not)
The brand names Wittnauer and Tudor. It's only annoying to see so many of these within Ebay searches for Longines or Rolex.
