My OB told me the delay was due to making the caseback. They phoned to explain, this was back in November, Said it might be anything up to another 10 months but then surprised me with a call to collect a couple of weeks later.
I can honestly say the photos do not do it justice. There is a depth to the silver dust which suggests several applications of clear enamel, then more silver dust and finally the sapphire crystal cover, giving a 3D effect. This is all done by hand, and from my limited experience of enamelling at school metalwork classes, turning out nearly 2,000 of these is a serious undertaking.
The OB staff were great, very knowledgable and the whole experience just added to the enjoyment of owning such a fine piece. I should add that I have no connection at all with Omega other than ownership of a couple of their finest watches (IMHO).

Maaaaan How did you get two? There were 17 people on the Denver OB wait list ahead of me and they said they might only get one. I have to hope that the first 17 people that they call will decline the opportunity, so the call eventually comes to me.

^^^looks like the 17 folks that are in line don't have what it takes to get one.....let alone two.....::stirthepot::

Interesting...

Sounds like your OB has done a much better job handling this than mine. Looking forward to receiving mine.....some day.

Absolutely, it really does have to been seen in person. I was told the case backs were not exactly alike due to the hand finishing, which adds to the uniqueness of the Snoopy.

Here is my snoopy opened up next to the panda my next pick up

Let me be first to admit that I was wrong, and properly congratulate you!
Snoopy will provide a pride in ownership that will last much longer, and be far more valuable than the extra cash...

And with regards to the FOIS sedna... great taste! 😉

Wow.

First time to see/read thru this thread....

I guess I'm even slower than @JohnSteed ,😲 except when he's bidding on beauties on eBay!

It's quite amazing how polarized the discussion was, until @nima0071 finally realized exactly what he had with his 'Snoopy', and fell in love 🥰... I guess he's just one of us, after all! 😀

I also must add, that I had no idea how amazing the case-back is, until someone finally posted a pic of it after only about 105 posts!!🤪

Thanks to those who did...👍 @Superdoc @rst1121

Now, if I can only get my hands on one 🙄....🍿

It's not as bad as the omega speedmaster moonwatch professional (that one has legit balls and penis).

Anyway, I love the fact that they used silver powder (from the handcrafting of the snoopy pin) as stars in the enamel on the caseback. Sweet idea.

You were not wrong - he is only keeping it because he found another one. So the next one will be sold or attempted to be sold for $20K.
