Silver Snoopy Woes

I have some confusion with Omega Snoopy, I remember 2 years ago or so it was stated by many that the 50th anniversary would be discontinued and that Omega is only fulfilling previous orders however, the watch seems to still be avilable to certain clients. There is even a seller on Ebay who has 10 or so brand new for sale!

I have recently moved to Qatar and I tried to inquire about it with Omega Boutique, they said i should have a profile and if i buy 2 watches they will allocate me one in 2 weeks after getting manager's approval (before I make any purchse) which is kinda feels cheap (same playbook of some Rolex ADs). I was not even able to get one in my home country despite having profile of more than 4 watches (Jordan) due to dirty games (the AD in Jordan wanted to charge grey market prices !) and since I stopped dealing with them.

I like the watch since it's release and i missed the opportunity to get the 45th release but i think the 50th anniversary is more of significance. I'm thinking to celebrate my new job here in Qatar by buying a watch. However, I have some inquires that I would appreciate the community feedback on before i make my final decision:

  • I have noticed that the prices of Snoopy watches have slightly increased in the grey market compared to few months ago. The cheapest one new i have found for 2025 is USD 15K. Do have any recommendations for other reliable sellers with better pricing ?
  • Is ebay a good place to buy since they will ship internationally and I will have PayPal protection (although I think the authenticity check is only for domestic purchases).
  • Is it a good time to buy now or shall I wait for few more months ? Is there any word if the production of the 50th Snoopy will cease this year.

There are a couple of watch dealers in Qatar that are worth checking out, they might be able to get you a snoopy. Timepiece trading in Intercontinental hotel and I forgot the name of the other one but it's in Sheraton hotel.

typically the best spots in the GCC are Qatar and Kuwait because they do not have VAT. Many grey watch dealers in Kuwait if you are willing to make the flight/drive there.

I wouldn’t buy anything you don’t want to keep in order to get a Snoopy 50th… for context, I picked up 4 watches from an OB in the USA, and eventually did get allocated a Snoopy. I wanted all four of those watches, and plan to keep all of them for the foreseeable future.

If you resell the two pieces you buy, you’ll likely lose as much or more than you’d pay extra to simply buy an unworn piece on the grey market.

I’ve heard rumors on the forum and from other enthusiasts that the 50th may be discontinued this year to make way for a 55th. Just rumor, and I have to believe that a 55th would not be quite as special as a 50th.

I sort of wish they’d do a non-limited non-anniversary edition Snoopy to add to the catalog, and bring out a limited “extra special” piece every 10-15 years.

Can someone tell me what is a fair price to pay for a new 2025 Snoopy from the secondary market ?

Watch Charts says about £11,000 UK as of yesterday. Not much more than RRP (just over 10% above).

More like 30-35% over MSRP.

I also chatted with an Omega Rep on the website and they confirmed that the watch is still in production.
I think I'm going to pull the trigger and buy the watch which would be the first time I buy something over retail ! I'm just hoping the price does not fall too much as they snoopy has been dipping since its release

I spotted a Snoopy in the wild yesterday in Midtown. First time seeing one in the metal outside of a very dimly lit Omega event.

All to say, I loved it. So much. Hope my OB comes through but will just end up going gray if needed and reasonable.

Considering US MSRP is $11,200 now, I think a $15,000 long term market value is about right. Still in high demand, still people on the waiting lists, I don't see them dropping that much going forward. There are quite a few available on the market, but none at anything close to MSRP.

I got it, after chasing it for 5 years I finally bought the watch Grey. Now I'm going to buy the bracelet from Omega Boutique since it elevate the watch and makes it wears much better.
