Hi guys, Recently I came across this watch at a local jewelry/watch shop that sells second hand watches as well, and was intrigued... Been searching online and can't find any info pertaining to a legitimate Omega issued Speedmaster in this configuration, besides de rarer BC345.0802 or BC145.0039 models, which this certainly is not. I think this could just be a replacement dial on a 145.022. The caseback seems like your standard 145.022 style as well. On the 11 o'clock lug is a hallmark from what I presume is the portuguese government, from back in the day. I'm not interested in buying it but it's been nagging me, so what say you of this piece? Thanks in advance, Lou
Even if it is a refinished dial, it grows on you the longer you look at it. Also the black lume adds a nice contrast.
Yeah, wasn't really sure about that either. I mean, I've seen dirty old lume before, but never something this black and consistent. Almost looks like it was painted on purpose... The mystery continues!
Comparable, nice rhodium-dialed speedy for sale here - you will get some info too https://omegaforums.net/threads/fs-omega-speedmaster-3570-50-apollo-xi-rhodium-dial.56443/
I think this dials are from the "teutonic" or not ? Have also 2 of these dials in the drawer.....but with tritium on it.
you are right, OP dial is not from a teutonic. afaik the teutonics are all flat and have a slightly smaller diameter
