    Or possibly mixed with other metals that would counteract the tarnishing?

    rhodium plating its a guess but i think im right Ultra light layer its not a "contact" part so dont need to worry about wear they will tarnish if you "finger" them

    They aren't actually silver. These are painted brass...

    there was 2 types of silver... The ones until 72/73 that were white/silvering colour, and then the silver ones... I prefer the silver ones... looks nicer

    Again, not actually made of silver, just silver coloured.
