hey so on the date wheel i have noted some discrepancies in several listings and was hoping to get some insight as to whether or not this was a marker for authenticity or if there was a change in part or manufacturing process.

if you can see, and im sorry for any confusion, there are clearly 2's on the date wheel that appear as they do on this font type with no perpendicular part before going to the horizontal portion of the number two.

here are some comparisons. i hope you can appreciate the differences in the numeral 2 on the date wheel.

im looking at purchasing a 2200.50 but need to better understand if this concern of mine has any significance. thanks for any info.

The design of the date wheel font changed when Omega moved from from the 2500C to 2500D movement. This is what you are seeing I think. No I don't know which is which but it is one of the tells to work out what movement is fitted if you don't know the serial.

EDIT: the OP posted this 3 times and I see it has already been correctly answered.
