Quite different compared to my other entry in this thread, but a fun one nonetheless. Serial 00000. Sadly it's been with my watchmaker for quite a while now, as he's on and off trying to find an OEM replacement crown.

Im New here, and I joined because I keep finding watches that I have to buy. However I don't know as much about them as I would like. I picked on up the other day and could use your help! The dial says B.Altman & co. But the stem has an omega symbol on it. Any words of wisdom?

Welcome!

I think you ought to start a new thread here: https://omegaforums.net/forums/other-watch-brands-forum/ and ask for help, this thread is for watches with a "stop watch" function, so not quite the right place 馃榾

This is pretty unusual, not sure how many GMT chronographs are out there.

Hi guy 馃榾 I came to this forum to find out more about my Omega watch, found this thread and thought: Why not post something here as well 馃槈

This watch must have belonged to my grandfather and I know absolutely NOTHING about it, I don't have the slightest idea what it is :-(

Not sure if this qualifies as unusual but I have one of these on its way as a hand-me-down from my father. Pic is from the web. My dad bought his in 1972 he thinks, so first year of production and will have the Valjoux 7750 and three main hands (not Lemania 5100 and four hands).

Quite a classic:

- first ever Porsche Design product of any type, personally designed by the man himself
- first ever black watch (this was chrome
plated as it was before the days of PVD
- worn by Tom Cruise in Top Gun...

My Seiko 6138 Bullhead and other 6138's
Added another to the collection! It's an absolute beauty and I've been after a decent one of these for a while. It's a beautiful watch and a real addition to the 6138 stable.
