Tribute to Polaris “Error dial” (full lume). Bit less expensive than the original, but way less stressful to wear as well 😁

Geophysic 1958

And my first JLC, which was among the watches that were stolen last year. I really miss this guy 🙁

So, if you should come across a Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph Vintage with serial # 2823125 please contact me!!!

Used to have quite a large collection of these 1940/50's alarms and weather stations in various shapes and colours. Quite an ingenious multi-shape design. Only have these in black left. I find them fun and pleasing on the eye.

This is my WRUW today ... it's a nice picture of the watch just back from service so I wanted to put it here for reference to the Reference, umm, I mean the original reference watch, of the Tribute ... you know what I mean, right?

Polaris ref. E859 from 1968 (the original one) calibre K825
About 1150 of these made, only in 1968.

Here is my JLC, 18ct yellow gold, ref. 2953 from 1947. Unfortunatelly, I don't have the golden buckle. I would like to find one which fits the watch - preferably JLC 18ct yellow gold pin buckle from the same era. But to be honest, I am not expert and I am very much affraid of ebay buckles. Any help where to look for will be appreciated 😀 Thank you...

I understand the rules here. I did not mean my post as WTB, but more like “where to find” 😀 I am sorry if I was misunderstood...

What does a JLC buckle from 1947 look like? Weren't they just a plain buckle?

Honestly, I have no idea. I have seen many “vintage” called buckles with JLC logo on it, but I am not sure about originality and timing. The best way would be to find somebody here, who has similary old watch and is super sure that has the original buckle.
