I like all your choices there, not one of them I wouldn't (or haven't already) bought.

Nima, outstanding. If being you, and obviously before your wedding!, I would try to add a Speedmaster 321 to your fascinating collection.

    Nice.

Just one pocketwatch for me, but it makes funny noises.

Unless I decide to upgrade to another repeater that's jeweled to the hammers, it would take a big chunk of change to get me to part with this pink gold quarter repeater chronograph.

Have you ever read the Patrick O'Brian 'Master and commander' series of Napoleonic naval books? There was a film a few years back with Russell Crowe - in the books, the surgeon, Maturin, has a Breguet repeater that so often meets with catastrophe, when the crew now he's boarding they have a pan or warm lamp oil ready to flush put the seawater.

    Brilliant pw, Dennis.

Beautiful..... I must admit, jeweled to the hammers is not a term one hears very often, its meaning lost on the quartz/cell phone crowd.

My grandad was a farmer out on the western plains, he got his land via a government grant, cleared it himself and built his own house. He used to wash his Longines in lamp oil when it stopped and leave it open on the porch so the excess could drain with the help of the sun..... damned if I know why it still works all these years later!

From your keyboard to the Watch Gods ears.

Could have got a 31 jewel 5 minute repeater at the same time I bought this for a couple hundred more, but this one being pink gold and having the chronograph spoke to me more.

Don't try this at home, boys and girls - especially with your dad's Patek.

Strangely enough as a young boy I well remember my late father "washing" out his ex-services watch in petrol, something he said many did back in the tank corps in North Africa.
I'll always wonder what that watch was and where it is now :(
