Boy oh boy there are some lovely pieces here - I can certainly get with the stainless-gold combo
Here's my Enicar which coincidentally has been getting some wrist time this week - a bargain picked up on the forum (thanks @Franz) and still one of my favourites
And another favourite from a different era. But is so comfortable it gets a lot of wrist time too
How about this one? I haven’t shown it for a long time. Dial and movement on this modest little German made Laco (not Lanco) with a German made Durowe movement is certainly not mainstream around these parts, but it qualifies as being a bit out of the ordinary. This one arose out of a church rummage sale. It needed parts. I made an offer contingent in being able to get the parts I needed. Got the parts. Both movement and dial are marked foreign. This leads me to believe this watch is from perhaps the late 1940s, or perhaps early 1950s, when German made products often were frowned upon if marked as being German made. I have run to this with clocks, but this is the firstvwatch I have ever seen marked this way. Laco was an important supplier of watches to the German armed forces during WWII.
That is my very first watch, i got it as a present when i was 14 years old, wore it 15 years long almost on daily bases, traveling, hiking, and even skateboarding 😀 the watch is still running, even though i did a little diy project taking the whole thing apart 😀
Girard Perregaux 4945 & 4946 with ETA 2892-A2 and in house 3370 movement. Both have Dubois-Depraz chrono modules. From late 90's and early 2000.
The 4945 ( black dial) has recently moved on.
