Purple is my favourite color. It’s taken me 30+ years of watch collecting to finally add a papal purple to the collection. Courtesy of Fred. So how many other purple dials are there? I know the grape Rolex which is still on my radar. What do my fellow collectors have in the purple violet light bandwidth?

New arrival this week. Seller had described it as amethyst so I had already searched to see if this thread existed!
Was a little disappointed when it arrived as it seemed a much flatter brown in real life. Glad I hadn't gone mad with complimentary and contrasting straps before it arrived. Think I'll try a milanese bracelet instead now.

Very hard to photograph. Not sure what to call this dial; its not Tigers Eye and I don't think its Cotes de Geneve.
Some hints of violet if not full purple.




Of course, now that I'm searching purple Technos, can I avoid going full Gemmy?!!!

Your first Technos pictured definitely has solid hints of purple

 

The color looks to be aubergine...eggplant.

 

Not purple dial but...my 69 Speedy Special on custom purple strap...with shirt!

Thanks, unfortunately the bracelet is about 2" too big. I think my fall back will be Milanese if I can't find something better
