Show us your favourite toys Boyz… and Girlz….
Aside from watches I thought it might be fun for people to post up their favourite ‘toys’ or objects of desire from their respective man/girl caves…. Or rubbish and tat as my better half likes to call some of my discretionary spending.

Some rules of engagement… These need to be toy store or collectible and young age appropriate… No AC Cobras, Porsche cars, Firearms, Harley bikes etc. Of course models are allowed but again we are talking scale models and not the adult lingerie kind (although GI Joe does have some competition in that department).

Noondays cannons are allowed (I always wanted one of those :0). I will be very jealous of any RC aircraft or boats.
I am landlocked and also find it harder to crash or break a 90% metal Tiger.....

Having said not watch related I did manage to get my smallest speedmaster in shot...

I design and build free flight, rubber band powered scale models for fun. Ive been reliving my 12 year old boyhood continuously since then. Old school balsa and Japanese tissue covering.

So the photo I took of the last Tin Triangle to fly is out?

Damnit that is an object of desire! I'm sure I had a Dinky one 60 years ago.

As you say a bit off topic but it is good to break the rules sometimes. I was lucky to get up close with that special lady a while back and was still airworthy. I still find it amazing there are only ten years between that wonderful bird which was not used in anger until 1982 and the Avro Lancaster.

Wonderful hobby and beautiful pictures. Do you draw plans for them?
My late father told me about large string launch gliders he made from scratch. The rudder should turn on release when the string peg drops but on his best flight (hill launch) that failed. He said it was a wonderful sight but sadly rather than circling it headed off over the horizon. He told me another one was modified with a rocket by an evil uncle (who later became a policeman!), A mixture of distance and disintegration lost that one. There is something very evocative about a free flight model under its own control and the detail on yours look amazing. Have you got any YouTube videos? Out of interest is long grass a friend or foe for landings?

I made something like these when I was a kid. Balsa stringers & frames, tissue paper & dope to cover it. It was a kit, not a self design.
I find your posts inspirational, because I am trying to find something similar for my 10 yo.

Owls have developed quite a reputation for intelligence, but it's really their calm and insightful nature that gives this impression. Instead of an intellectual approach to life they use their deeper spiritual senses to guide them, and theyhave a deeply philosophical bent. Spending much of their time in solitary pursuits, owls like to hole up in a quiet working environment and venture out only when necessary. They are not a playful creature. Only engaging in exercise and sport in order to keep physically fit, they avoid the more gregarious animal personalities.Owls are not without their assertive side however, and they won't hesitate to use their razor-sharp tongue to settle an argument. Never the aggressor in a confrontation, they fight only when their survival or honour is at stake and have no desire for a prolonged or physical struggle. Owls espouse nonviolence, think logically, and argue persuasively...………...

That is not aggressive conflict .....it is just dinner…. Like I said flying cats.
Minimal vegetables harmed in this picture also (sadly that is not a carrot)….
