Around '98 or '99, well before I was into watches, I was with a work colleague who was looking at purchasing a watch, and I remember being impressed by a watch that he was looking at that had (what I now know to be) a retrograde minutes display and (I think) a jumping hour display

My colleague did not buy the watch, but the memory of it always stuck with me, and I now suspect that the watch that he was looking at was likely some Gerald Genta Retro Classic variant.

I'm still quite enamoured of the idea of picking up a watch with some sort of retrograde time keeping displays, so curious if anyone has any and what their experiences are (positive or negative), and what other manufacturers have gone down this path besides Gerald Genta.
