Just looking at an old Omega wristwatch and was wondering what the earliest date was on a wristwatch made by Omega. This one dates from about 1915 And is quite early but am I right in thinking the earliest are from 1910?

Also the letter M appears on quite a few movements from around this era from different manufacturers, anyone know what this means?
    Thanks, Michael

Nice one. The M letter stands for 'metal' case. Silver cased caliber had the 'A' (for argent in French).

She's not nearly as old as some of your watches, but it's the oldest in my aggregation. A small Centenary from 1948..my version of a birth year watch...

Just found these two, I had long forgotten this silver cased one until I looked at the advert above.
The Waltham was with it too, the Waltham dates from around 1914 I believe.
    Cheers, Michael

My oldest Omega wristwatch is this 2557-6 with a cal. 35 4; I think it dates to a relatively recent 1952:

Every time I decide the hands are incorrect later additions I see examples from the period that are similar. Makes me wonder...
