Hi all-
I've got onto a bit of a shopping spree lately and ordered (though only received 1!) a handful of ladies watches. After tearing apart my Tissot 709, I realized that these little watches have the same quality/joy of working on as a full-size watch, just for 1/4 the price! Whether or not I'll find someone who wants one of these, no idea (or whether I can get my wife to wear them!), but in the meantime:

Show me the coolest ladies watches you've had cross your bench! Only 1 has actually crossed my bench (The afformentioned Tissot), but I have these other two as well that are coming at very reasonable prices:

First, a blurry lady's dynamic with a set of 3 straps. It comes quite blurry, with a broken crystal, but with what looks like the coolest color scheme. All this for $125!

Next is a ~$150 566.053 with a dirty, but great looking salmon dial! Sold as 'for parts', and a dirty movement, but including what looks to be an original bracelet, this seems like it could be a catch!

I ended up finding this guy on ebay for.... not too bad of money. $150 or so shipped:

It has a lot of parts in common with the salmon dial (and in fact is the same reference!) I figure I'll ask my wife which she likes better and put that dial on which ever works the best. She doesn't like bracelets, so I'll get a strap for it. IF I can get the other one working too, it can stay on the bracelet.

Either way, a sharp looking reference, that I'm hopeful my wife will like enough to wear sometimes.

Well, here's an absolutely horrible photo of a Ladymatic I got for my wife. She seems to have misplaced (lost?) the dynamic I got her that's similar to the one you posted, but gold. I'd really love to get the Ladymatic running better, but I'm not confident enough to work on a movement so small.

... and I made the strap for it as well.

The gold filled case came with the green corofram strap. The blue dynamic movement came from moldova. I had to source a 630 movement to go with the red dyle. The leather is scrap red 'Robert Morton' pipe organ pneumatic leather.

Another shot of strap making.

I really have more watches than I can count. Including ladies watches. The C-cased connie quartz is more unisex these days so I think I counts.

This project is another favorite. A Heuer what I got from a Hawaiian pawn shop. I think it was found washed up on the beach. I really like the way the hands rusted.

I actually got a bunch of these. There is no love for this type of watch on the TAG/Heuer forums. I did take the movement apart to swap some parts around then got into the 1342/1345 omega movements, which are much better than the modern ETA movements. The plan is to make some more leather straps for them. I do have a partial bracelet for one of them.

Almost forgot about this one. Solid gold and diamond saffette. I saw the photo when looking for the red one (current favorite) and did not think to include it until after I posted. Just spent the last hour going through the 1000s of photos looking for it again.

This is one of the watches I wore when I visited the omega factory. I was wearing 10 omegas, 5 on each wrist. They said Nick Hyack did the same thing. Noted the story else where that one of the straps broke, and they gave me a new strap on the spot. Not sure I want to go through the 1000s of photos again to look for the photo to post here again. (Could take a newer photo, but I have so many photos as it is.)

This watch is a bit of a problem child. The movement is really small. I also keept breaking or losing the the incabloc springs. Sat for years waiting to find a new mainspring. (did not trust ebay for decades.) Was always asking the local watchmaker if he could get one. Finally found a spring only to discover in the years (over a decade) It was apart I lost the winding click. Then kacked the balance spring. Got a parts movement and a broken inc spring from an ebay seller who then bloked me since the photo did not mach what was sent. (saving me 100s of dollars which went to other sellers.) This watch is sort of back together and a terrible timekeeper. I got more parts and should probably re- do it again. But the parts are so 🤬 small.

Omega De Ville with a lovely cal 625, picked up from an Estate Sale.

Before

After

The whole time I was working on it I was marveling to myself about, "I can't believe how small this is...", although the 625 is not nearly as small as some of the little cocktail watches that others have shared here.

The size makes sense once you see it on her small wrist 🥰

Probably this Patek...

Very fancy...right down to the plastic movement spacer...

The dial was very nice - and solid gold too.

Ooof, I was salivating at how beautiful that was, and looking forward to the movement picture, when I was then all of a sudden just "whelmed" 😀

Acquired for old gold as the movement was a mess, and the owner turned down my repair estimate. Omega 14-karat white gold with blue pastel tinted synthetic sapphire crystal. The blue tint in the crystal creates a blue ”halo” around the dial. I spent a lot of time resuscitating the movement, and I had the messy dial refinished. Other than her Rolex, this is her favourite watch.

Had a lot of fun with this Buren Grand Prix, cleaning and getting it working for a friend. It’s tiny, and as you say as good quality and as much fun as a full size watch, but quite a challenge. For size comparison, I show it next to the main spring barrel from an Elgin pocket watch.
Watch had a few challenges, no crown and a broken escape wheel pivot. I was able to source a complete doner movement from eBay for the princely sum of €33. Just as well as I managed to knacker the hair spring on the original😁. All back together eventually and back with its delighted owner. I really enjoyed tinkering with this watch, thought me how to slow down, be patient and take a time out now and then.

That is really quite attractive! I might have to look for one of those! That looks like something my wife might wear!
