This is currently on eBay Germany. advertised as: SPEEDMASTER PRE MOON CHRONOGRAPH + ST 105.003-65 + 1966.
Obviously the bezel is replaced and the the movement and serial appears to be right..but that dial, hands, and the lume..Has it been completely overhauled. Do you like it, or has it been "ruined" by restoration? I'm kind of thinking the latter- it just look too new!! .What guesses for the final price? Quite a bit under what an unrestored watch might fetch I reckon..

 

It is a service dial (lack of Ts around the SWISS), same for the hands. The value is much lower due to this: if you get it very cheap it may have sense to put the original parts on it if you can source them.
But since we're talking about a DON and a pre-pro dial, I think it's not going to be worth your time/money.

 

Ask the seller if he saved all the old parts.

 

Nah I'm not going to bid on it..I only recently got a mark II that I'm waiting to get back from revision..I was just wondering what this might go for..i'm think in the 3500-4500 Euro range....

 

More likely in the 5000-6000 Euros range imo....

It makes me a bit sad when I see one like this, someone has obviously paid some good money to "restore" this several years ago, When the owner would have been quids just leaving it!

 

VAP. What are the case and movement worth?

 

Bracelet has some value though, how much I'm not sure (appears to be 18mm so not a 1039, maybe not a 7912) but I think it's a stretch-link
