I'm new to omega watches but have always been an admirer.
I really like this one but the more I read about fakes, the more I don't want to buy it.
    Not really sure.

Dress watch is a redial. Case looks polished to death (interestingly, the case back indicates that it's plated--not sure how that works). Sub seconds hand is wrong.

Yes, number two is pretty dire. Crown is also wrong, and what's that bit of paper(?) keeping the movement in place?! One to avoid.

The Geneve might be ok but the pictures are inadequate to assess the dial. With a user name like that he ought to know better. It's failed to sell previously on a $375 BIN.

    Welcome Beetleman :)

Say I can't help but wonder, why do they call you Beetleman?

That is by far the least weird reason to be called Beetleman. Cool cars!

Think of the guys above me as having the same expertise in vintage omega's as you do in vintage VW Beetles. The second watch is a lemon. Run! I kinda like the Genève though...it reminds me a little of the Admiralty.

Thanks for the replies. I've got a citizen Skyhawk that I really enjoy but it's just so big and bulky. I've always admired omega and these seamaster seem like something I could afford. The speedmaster are really awsom I just can't justify the price, damn kids and thier food and water.

I suggest you load an avatar for yourself as soon as you can, or the one that gets provided for you may be a dung beetle and not a car.

Well that would be quite a legitimate reason to be called 'Beetleman', too. Although Cicindela sounds more exotic ;-)

I was thinking more along these lines:
