Should I wear a case back sticker in my pre moons?

    What do you guys do?
I want to preserve the condition of my watches but they are not going to a museum either...they are watches;-)
I wear them regularly, maybe 1-2 times a week and I don't use NATO straps, which I've heard would course the most concerns. IMG_2378.JPG

Wouldn't worry myself, fact that you only wear it once or twice a week even less worry.

((If you intend on shovelling concrete, sand and sweating all day for the days you wear it then. Yes))

The use I have given mine over the nearly 20 years and coupled with the watches previous owner who used her for 33 years her she is starting to show wear so to preserve the visibility I now have protective sticker. Of course if you don't use your watch much then you will most likely be ok..

I'm an Australian vegetarian and even with my rock hard, grindstone-like wrists I've not been able to chisel off the caseback engravings on my Speedys.

I use em on watches with deteriorating engravings that are worth a shit load of money.

    Like @oddboy said, why not?

    Hi guys

You might be looking for trouble..... If memory serves me these sticker were used for crystal protection pre sales. I got a much from a watchmaker that used to be with JLC ( 20 years ago ).. Well I gave done out to friends.. Ou them in caseback we all that great..... Well one guy used to sweat a lot, some of the "juice" got caught under the plastic and it did a little work on his caseback !

The rest of us ran home and pulled the stickers off the rest of our collection.... Just something to think about.

    Good hunting

Bill, can't believe you don't apply anti-perspirant to your wrist each morning. First thing taught in WIS school ,Watch 101. ::facepalm2::

The caseback looks in very good condition, I don't think wearing the watch normally will have any effect now. Just enjoy it as is.

Mine too have stickers and on an Ed White a Thomas Preik's clear case back.
Stickers as per @oddboy comment and cheap and cheerful. You don't know they are there. Why not, the first couple I got back from a service had them on, and I left them there. Others I bought.

The Thomas Preik clear case back I like (which is also an option). I bought a couple that way and the correct case back and dust cover are stored away. At times I like looking at the movement and enjoying the wonderful precision/mechanics of the watch.

But hey that's me. Am sure it will be fine without.

If you plan on keeping long term, I say wear and enjoy. Who are you saving it for?

If you're thinking you might sell, than a sticker makes sense.
