The title says it all... I just received my 2011 Speedmaster "Sapphire Sandwich" back from a full service. It was in beautiful condition when it left me other than it was running a bit too fast (+21). Omega did a full service and it just returned yesterday. It is now in pristine condition and running +3 seconds for the last 24 hours. While it was away, I picked up a mint condition Explorer II 42 for what I consider to be a bargain. So, I ask my Omega brethren, should I sell the Speedmaster... or the Explorer II? Which would you prefer to have in your stable? Thanks...
Don't sell either one unless you need the finances badly. Before to long the honeymoon with the Explorer 'll be over and you'll want to wear the Speedmaster also. Wear them day on, day of, week on, week of or wathever time frame tickles your fancy. Regards.
I don't disagree with you, and candidly, the Speedmaster is the most comfortable watch I own. I barely know it's on the wrist vs. the Explorer II.
Keep them both! As everybody else you will regret it selling it. Other than that there are 2 different watches, Gmt-automatic-twinlock-date indicator- Chronograph-manual-simple crown-no date For everyday watch rolex has more, If i had to choose speedmaster is my choice. Besides its not submariner or daytona anyhow All the best
I sold a Speedy once and regretted it enough that I eventually bought another one. I'd keep both until the honeymoon period wears off on the Rolex.
Not a big fan of new 42mm explorer II, I would part with it and get a explorer I or last gen explorer II ( white dial red gmt)
If it were me, that Speedmaster would already be shipping out to the buyer. Those orange hand Explorers are awesome!
Seriously lust worthy! I have a strange affliction though; I strongly associate those fat mercedes hands with semi-disposable models from Casio, O&W, and others. What a crime!
Gotten keep both! A great combo! I may look to add a 16570 White Exp II TO MY speedy at some point. You'd only regret selling either of them!
