I'm waiting for him to send me a movement/caseback pic, but here are the pictures: Thanks for any help in advance!
Wow, at the right price I'd be all over that, very cool! Doug you are on fire. Smart to get movement shot.
Rolex sunk their markers like this on the Pre-Explorer's( ~1954) I've always taken a shine to the look. Buy it!
No no! No no no no! No! Be very careful, these are a minefield and can cost thousands to fix! They always break down! They're a very unpopular model! I would be safest to just turn your back on it and walk away, find something else. Cheers Jim PS: Could you send me the sellers details by any chance
It's kinda late, so he may not have read my message/offer. He was asking $375, but I thought that was a bit high (ulackfocus sold a near-mint similar one for $350 recently), so I offered less...
Buy it. And in anticipation that you will, let me be the first to say..... DIBS! (Yes, it is legitimate to pre-purchase Dibs a watch. I checked.)
He agreed, but wants me to pay to his daughter's PayPal account, so I asked him to invoice me from that account. He has alot of +feedback on TZ, but still. Maybe I'll ask him to call me, too...
I don't like his practices. He agreed to the price, I asked for an invoice, then he sold it to someone else! I guess I was outbid (but it wasn't an auction), I was too slow (just wanted confirmation), but don't tell me OK, then sell to someone else!
LOL! He's already on mine, so: NickofTime (Dan Kretzer) on TZ Edit: Now OFF my bad list! Looks OK! I rushed to 'judgement' too soon ...See below...
I'll feedback him here on 'Seller Feedback...' once I confirm for sure it's not me he's considering as the buyer. He hasn't responded to my e-mails ever since his 9AM (Eastern) acceptance response, yet 30 minutes ago he listed it as 'sold'... I'm not optimistic...
Hold on... he finally responded... and it's GOOD! He says I AM the buyer... strange that he would post it as sold on TZ before I sent him the money... He's sold ALOT, and some high end watches on TZ, so unless he's suddenly decided to start scamming, or somehow only posing as NickofTime, I should be good. I just get a little nervous when I'm buying from someone advertising on a forum that doesn't have a true Feedback Forum... I fully documented in the 'Notes' section of the PayPal payment, so hopefully that affords a little protection just in case... I'll post pics, maybe even a video/sound byte of the alarm, too, when this baby comes in!
