short vs tall markers on pre professional speedmasters

Ok I have read speedmaster101's guide and consulted moonwatch only..

Just for clarification

1/ A "short marker" dial, is a dial where the markers don't go precisely to the edge of the step? Y or N
2/ A "tall marker" dial has minute markers that stop exactly on the stepped edge. Y/N
3/ "Short marker" dials are all service dials on any watch prior to "Professional" appearing on the dial...(except for a CK 2998) Y/N?
4/ It's impossible for a pre professional speedmaster to have a short maker dial unless it has had a replacement dial (unless it's a CK 2998). Y or N

Sorry but the speedmaster101 and moonwatch only guides aren't clear on this

Cheers

(I'm referring to the 105.002 and the 105.003)..as clearly a CK 2998 can have an "original" A4 short marker dial....
I guess what I am asking is if Omega was so much into precision and detail at the time applying for space certification and everything....wind the clock back to the 60's and 70's, and you send your Ed White (for example) in for a service, why would Omega have replaced the dial on that watch with a dial that had "short markers"? Wouldn't people in the 60,70's have noticed that and said something? I mean Omega was supposed to be all about precision..it was *the* marketing thing during that era...

IMO, Omega would have replaced the dial with the currently available authentic dial. They considered that correct, and in fact they still do.

Sure makes sense... so what is exactly the difference between an original "tall marker" and "short marker" dial? Are we talking markers on the main minute track here or the 30min subdial? Sorry for the newbie question but nobody (either reference) has said which "dial" (main or subdial) they are referring too... or actually specified the difference
