    Dear OF members,

can anyone suggest the best solution for shipping an item to France (Paris)?
Fedex/TNT accepts only commercial shipping in Germany, no shipping for private people.

    Thanks in advance!

Odd. I use FedEx to ship internationally without issue.

I always use DHL Express from/to Germany. They usually need less than 48 hours from the US West Coast to Germany, should work overnight to Paris. Fast, reliable and I think there is an Insurance-option available.

First of all thanks to all.

It's not a complete watch, value is 1300Euros.

When I tick the box for private person on their website, they tell me, that they ship only for business.

Does the insurance cover watches/watch parts? When shipping inside of Germany, watches are "forbidden" that means if the package is lost, you get no refunds.

Never read that anywhere there. But a tracked parcel that is rushing through Europe for less than 20 hours is quite save :)

We are sending parcels Daily to both Germany and France, 90% of the are to private persons so it should be no problem at all.

Remeber max Insurance value FEDEX will cover for a vintage watch if lost is 700 Euros, so no idea to insure for more, youjust have to pay a higher fee but coverage will be 700 however much you pay!
