To be honest, for a UK to UK delivery, I wouldn't bother with insurance. Just use Next day Special delivery.
Royal Mail very rarely lose packages.
I would even travel to the destination my self to deliver for that amount and meet the new owner of the watch 😉

I doubt anyone in the U.K. will be getting fined anymore after last nights address from Boris.
You still need a valid reason to be driving, and I don't think delivering a watch would be reason enough for most of the police forces in the UK.
