    Hello All,

I just won a vintage Grand Seiko on Yahoo Auctions in Japan. For the purchase I used a proxy service called ZenMarket. They offer several shipping options:

Postal Service: EMS, AVIA, SAL, DHL Packet
Courier: FedEx, UPS, DHL, DHL Direct, SF Express

I would like to avoid UPS and Fedex because of their brokerage fees. What service is recommended?

EMS is great. I've had a couple watches and knives shipped to me that way. They arrive quickly, and the cost is minimal. That said, please make sure insurance is part of the shipping deal.

I have had good luck with DHL, paid no customs at all and cleared in the air. EMS is a little slower, but never been charged.
