Considering this one on OF sold for around $500USD and was serviced and unpolished, $800 seems pretty high.

Without bracelet/endlinks though, which are worth about 2-300 GBP (IMO).

I am so bummed I missed out on that one. I joined the forum on a Friday and I think he sold that about 3 days earlier. SMH.

Upon doing some more searching and comparing other examples of these, I think I am going to pass. The one on Ebay appears to be a redial and the "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial appears to be missing the dashes and/or the "T" that normally go at the beginning and end of that script.

Depends how much you value a unpolished case. And looks like the bracelet also has been heavily refinished too.

stage fright?

sometimes a bidder will bid higher "against themself" if they realize the market is strong and they want to be assure to win it. i've done it before when i was leaving and wouldn't be near my computer so i bid higher than what i was currently at to keep last second snipers from grabbing it just above my price.

TDBK, thank you for explaining that ordering. I did not look at the time stamps—just assumed the chart would be in chronological order.
