I shouldn't have left it where little kids could get it and drop it on the concrete floos. :(

What is a ballpark estimate for a replacement? Getting it fixed Monday. Figured I'd share my pain with people that would understand.

I say leave it, especially if it was one of your kids that did the damage.

Hesalite? The cost should be quite reasonable; the part itself is less than $50 from what I can remember.

After replacing it keep it, then if your kids ever ask why they can't have something nice and expensive pull out exhibit A.

Half joking, I'm not a dad but I can't wait to do stuff like this to my kids when I have them.

Its Kids and life but none the less a pain but a good indication of the fun to come

One of mine brought one of the cars home on the back of a recovery truck minus the rear end. He and his passengers were ok (good old VW) and it made only a little dent in the truck that hit them but it puts into perspective these little tests sent to try us

I still keep a cell phone destroyed by my departed too soon dog Snickers. It's a shrine. Regarding kids and cars......lets just say that I was a "whale" at the body shop for a few years.

I asked a local authorized service shop how much it'd cost to replace the hesalite (just to have the knowledge). They said parts and labor would total $100.

Haha y'all have some pretty good ideas. I'll put a bow on it for Christmas. I'm glad it won't cost much to replace, it's just a pain in the ass.

Note: NASA declared the watch suitable and tough enough for space travel but crystal integrity after drops (originating approximately four or three feet high?) from the hands of children was not examined during operational testing! :D

No harm done. As others have alluded, this is the space watch. I doubt the insides have been damaged, but it is possible.
Crystal is easily replaced - just that Omega wont give you one, so you have to let them do it.
    Maybe have a full service?

All that said, I do share the pain.

Under such circumstances I typically like to wait a few weeks, and then, out of the blue, punish the offending child, just to see if he can make the connection. :D

I like it - though your children must be pretty nervous when around you :D

100$ sounds about right. I just bought a crystal omega Speedmaster NOS for 85$ shipped. Unsure of labor charges but it shouldn't take long to replace.
