Bit of a random post, but I felt like sharing pictures of my collection since I haven't gotten around to it yet . Please excuse some of the photos, I'll probably retake some better ones at a later point. The first watch isn't a vintage one, it was a used Ball Moonphase watch. Absolutely love this watch; it's incredibly beautiful (at least to me), and looks even better in person. And then I found this Belgian Airforce issued Pontiac (with what I believe is a Spillman case, but not 100% sure), and that threw me down the vintage watch rabbit hole. Caseback engravings on the Pontiac: (I had an EZM1 after this but I later sold it...). Then I got a Heuer Bund, from another OF member Back of the bund: And then a cool Seiko diver. This watch I love wearing regularly, fits perfectly and looks so nice on the wrist. Followed by yet another vintage watch, and also my first Omega. Funny story -- I joined these forums a long time ago in search of a 66CB but kept getting priced out of them. In hindsight, I've probably spent close to the same amount of money on all these watches! After this, I found a Chronofix Type 222 from another friend and collector in France. I believe these Chronofix Type 222s were what they produced before the French government came out with the Type 20 specifications. Neat little piece of history! Caseback, showing the 3 stars of Cetehor: And my most recent acquisition is a Heuer Carrera, 1553N. I can't get over the dial on this, and I've become a little obsessed with Heuer designs. Here they are together! Cheers, and sorry to make you all scroll so far down!
Nice! I remember when I started I thought I'd be hoarding Speedmasters; even bought the book. Maybe next year I'll add one...
I rather enjoy seeing other folks collections to see the variety of pieces they enjoy. I’m just getting started with collecting myself but I feel like it really helps to see the different brands and references out there.
