Hey OF,

Wanted to share my recently acquired 3590.50.00, serial 48,336,470, sold August 3, 1996 via YOU YOU Duty Free Shop Co. Ltd. It’s a late-tritium piece with all-original components and a beautifully even B4 dial patina. I recently purchased it from a Watchnian boutique in Tokyo for around $4200.

Quick breakdown:

  • Dial: B4 late tritium, warm cream patina, original lume
  • Hands: Original tritium, perfect match
  • Bezel: Correct accented “TACHYMÈTRE” (B4/B5 era)
  • Bracelet: Original 1479 with 812 endlinks
  • Caseback: Short-tail “S,” crisp engraving
  • Movement: Cal. 861 (18-jewel), correct for this serial
  • Papers: Original box, paperwork, matching warranty card dated 1996

Condition is excellent with sharp case geometry and minimal wear. The patina is one of the main highlights - very even, warm, and exactly what I look for in a 1990s tritium Moonwatch.

Open to any thoughts, observations, or additional detail others can spot.

Best,

Ben

I dunno, you could have spent nearly twice as much on a FOIS w/fautina instead of that one. 😉

Seriously, that's a lovely piece, congratulations!
