Been good, just back from DC and back from Montana a week before. I tell ya, retirement is quite an ordeal. I just hope Tommy has the strength to handle it as well as I do.

Is it the lume plots that are the tip off?

 

Yes redial, overpolished case and wrong movement (cal. 503 is a non-chronometre date movement).

 

That's a lot of money being asked for a redial assembled from bits, which you'd assume given the date movement in a non-date watch

 

Yes, it is getting harder and harder to find and honest watch. Also the star is off also, the minute markers are irregular and off and the cross hairs are not correctly done. From the description I think the owner does not know, could be wrong though.

 

The owner is a professional watch dealer, he made 20 posts or whatever is necessary on TRF to gain access to the for sale section and has only been placing ads ever since.

 

Well, there you go. Just when I want to start giving people the benefit of a doubt.

 

It's a shame, really, because he knows his Rolexes very well. I suspect that he's been taken in on this one when purchased and is trying to get his money out of it.
