I just purchased a triple date Speedmaster but have no clue to set it up. This is my first automatic and an a complete novice at it. Any instructions on hefting it up and running?
You should have considered the level of difficulty before choosing the watch. Oh, and you're welcome.
It’s a great daily wearer. Learning the watch is part of the hobby. Spending a little bit of time doing so should be fun and interesting. Not “so hard”.
I figured it out. It wasn’t hard I was a little overwhelmed because it’s new to me. But following the YouTube instructions were not straightforward. I just twisted and turns the crown until I could see various dials moving. Now I need to figure out the working of the chronograph. Any tips there? The watch in the picture, that the black dial?
The dial is black, yes. However, it began life as a blue dial and it changed to black. It's reference number is 3521.80.00
Mine is same, blue and reference number is 3521.80 however I cannot find the model on Omega’s website.
If Casey and I can figure it out without a manual, surely you can. It doesn't have every variation. https://www.omegawatches.com/vintage-watches?reference=3521
I don’t think this watch is for you. In fact I think a knife and fork may be too dangerous to contemplate too. Spoon only going forward. Google spoon instructions.
Ah I didn’t see anything else to give him crap over. The model is an alright choice imo, and at least he admitted to being a novice with automatics.
