This watch sale posting notes that the watch is in good running condition but that the time setting needs to be done counterclockwise as opposed to the normal clockwise. What might be the cause of this and is this a dealbreaker to consider this watch? Thanks, JB

There is no normal direction for time-setting to my knowledge, you should be able to set in both directions. But regardless, it sounds like there is a problem with setting the watch and you should assume it will need a full service. If you want a watch that is fully serviced and maintained, pay a premium to buy from a reputable dealer or ask the seller for documentation of a recent service.

As Dan said. Can move forward or back. If 10:00 and its 12. Can move the hands forward

can’t think why the seller would say that, but you’ll find out once received

Sounds like a signal that watch is not functioning properly. Unless there’s some other compelling reason you want it maybe consider pass
