    Hi,
I've mainly been using AJ watch repair in Canberra, and have posted some stuff to Steve for servicing also. I was wondering what other options people know of in Australia for servicing?

I've found a guy called Paul in Brisbane, he remanufactured the internal pushers on my Cal 320 when nobody else in Brisbane could and did it all for $240 which wasn't bad. No website, no email, just a phone number and a tiny shop behind a coffee shop.

My watchmaker that I had local retired last year. Ernest Freher did great work and was always good for a chat. He still does some stuff for me but as he's a grey nomad now I kinda wait for 6-8 months till I get it back.
For other stuff I want done sooner I use V&E Sintic in Castlereigh St, Sydney. Again, they do good work and are reasonably priced.

Have you used him much? Has anyone else? What sort of prices does he charge?

Used a few times, reasonable prices and purchased a few watches off him. Great to deal with and can source parts and watches that are wanted. Give him a call he's only too happy to answer your questions. He's making a watch at the moment from some Unitas movements he picked up.

    Hi Daniel,
I'm in Canberra. Are you still using AJ watch repair? It has been a few years since your original post and am looking for a quality repairer. I have a few vintage watches that could do with a service.
Also, who would be considered the best Rolex repairer in Australia?
    Regards Chris

    Adam only does Omega.
For Rolex, I’ve been using Max Schweitzer in Sydney.

Yes Adam is Omega only these days.
Rory specialises in vintage Rolex but services most brands. I have had Heuers, Omegas, Smiths, Tissot and Zenith serviced by him. No Rolex 'cos I only ever had one and sold that.
Great guys and never had anything but fantastic work from both. While I tend to send Omega for service to Adam these days, I give everything else to Rory.

In the past I have had work on militaries done by Phil Gore (Ferntree Gully Watch Co), and some also through Achim (watchyouwant on OF)

I had 2 vintage watches repaired and serviced by Watch Tech in Brisbane, both times I was very satisfied with their service and price. Turnaround time on both was less then 6 weeks. The first an Omega Seamaster from '69 (caliber 601 I believe), the second a S&F also from the sixties with a caliber 980 eta. See (terrible::facepalm2::) picture below.
