Servicing a quartz Cartier

A neighbour has asked me for a recommendation for servicing a ladies quartz Cartier watch. The battery has been changed, but it only ran for a short while before stopping again.

Does anyone know if there is anyone who would work on this apart from a no doubt hideously expensive service from Cartier?
