Hi guys, new to the forum and recent owner of a Chronostop bought on Ebay.

A few changes, new plexi, strap, buckle, polish, clean and a service for £80. I was amazed at what great time the watch keeps after the service and after a full wind shes still running after 48 hours! I have a gen clasp coming in from the USA and am getting a gen style strap made up by Stevio, will post pics when done. Here's the watch before and after the current work.

Great forum, ive learnt loads already since joining!

£80 for a full service + parts? Sounds pretty cheap.

    Enjoy your watch!

Can I ask where you had the service done? Seems very reasonable and I am guessing you are in the UK, given the £s.

Hello Smitty - great choice. I bought mine new in 1971 and still have it.

You mention that you have a clasp coming from the US - do you have the special strap end pieces which fit into the clasp? I have a pair of these and a clasp and only live two miles away!

    Jack.

    Screwed up?

What a weird post, I'm new to Omegas but not to buying and collecting watches that I like . I asked for a full polish as there was a deep scratch between 12 and 1 and I now prefer the look of it.

    Cheers Al
