Dear all, I am here selling off one of my Certina DS', a manual winding no-date version from around 1964. The dial is fairly evenly patinated and has a great glow in sunlight - the two pictures were taken in the sun and in shadow respectively to show the difference. The case is in rather decent condition with clear facets and hasn't suffered as much as many DS' tend to do. The caseback is fair with only few scratches - note that the serial number is missing; a common issue with Certina DS. Apparently Certina employed specially trained ants to carve in the serial number with a straw of grass... The case has a diameter of 36mm and a lug width of 18mm. The crown is original and the crystal is a new replacement from the watch' recent service (March 2018). The movement is a cal. 25-66. The watchmaker had to do a fair bit of work with the movement, as it wasn't in as good condition as the case, which means that there is a bit of positional variance, but the regulation has taken this into account. Paperwork from the service will accompany the watch. I ask €240 for this Certina DS, including PP. A small discount will be offered for bank transfer. Watch and I are located in Denmark, EU. I'll be more than happy to take the watch back within two weeks of the sale, should you not be satisfied. I have no doubt you won't, however Some recommendations: https://omegaforums.net/threads/nickw-a-trusted-buyer.35624/#post-403606 https://omegaforums.net/threads/happy-to-buy-from-conelpueblo.47169/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/conelpueblo-great-seller.40503/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/conelpueblo-top-notch-seller.38127/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/conelpueblo-is-a-really-nice-seller.36217/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/conelpeublo-is-an-excellent-seller.49970/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/my-thanks-for-a-great-deal-conelpueblo.55548/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/great-to-buy-from-conelpueblo.61838/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/conelpueblo-great-chap-great-seller.67668/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/conelpueblo-honest-kind-seller.68249/ Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Best, Troels. PS: I rave a lot about these watches and wearing this one will make you realise just why. I strongly prefer the no-date DS' as the date versions are non-quick set and this manual version is just about the perfect everyday grab, set & go watch. I only sell it as I have another no-date manual and at the moment I cannot justify having two of them.
The flat turtle DS casebacks are lovely. Coming from someone who likes Certinas, highly recommended pick-up for anyone starting out or looking to add some variety!
Serviced... beautifully patina'd dial, nice case and long lugs... what's not to like? Excellent price for a very cool and very wearable watch.
