GuiltyBoomerang
·This one from the collection needs to make way for (potential) incoming purchases.
I sent the watch to be serviced by Christian @WatchGuyUK in June this year. You can see the photos of the service here. The winding stem and crown were replaced as they had rusted through. I asked for a relume of the hands and hour marker dots to match. All parts replaced will be included in the sale. The watch still has 6 months warranty from WatchGuy in case of any problems. A copy of the receipt will be provided to the buyer.
From the caseback engraving, the watch was purchased in 1963. Crystal has some light marks, that are only noticeable under direct light. The dial received some damage in it's previous life, evidenced by several marks near the 1 and 2 o'clock markers. Case was polished in the past; however, lug edges are still discernible, and case has light scratches consistent of use.
The case measures 34mm across without the crown and 37mm with it. Lug to lug is a generous 42mm, making the watch wear bigger than it actually is. Movement is the venerable 25-651 and is currently keeping time at 5-6s/a day. There is no quickset date feature; it is quite snappy though going into midnight, and I find great satisfaction hearing the rather audible click when it rolls over. As I have not opened the caseback since getting it back, movement picture is from service.
I believe the watch will be a great daily wearer to the prospective buyer; however, I understand that the lume may take away it's originality and value. I'm asking for $250US considering the watch was serviced this year and still has a 6 month warranty. The price includes international shipping to your door from Australia. I accept PayPal and will absorb seller fees. Refunds will only be accepted if the watch is not as described. I will include a new 18mm brown or black strap as pictured.
As a seller, I have positive feedback here on the forums:
