ConElPueblo
·Dear all.
I am hereby offering for sale a newly restored and serviced Seiko ref. 6105-8110 "Captain Willard" from 1974.
(the visible debris on the dial/crystal is just dust on the crystal)
The watch was purchased by me on a flea market and was in a state; seized bezel, ruined crystal, gravelly movement, etc.
It was brought into the capable hands of www.thewatchbloke.co.uk and spent a considerable time with him getting a (perfect) reproduction crystal, restored movement (with an added jewel where the top arbor bush used to be), restored crown with new gasket, but no cosmetic work. As a testament to the work carried out, the watch passed a 100m pressure test and comes with a one-year warranty from the watchmaker.
The watch has seemingly lived the life of an honest tool watch, but has seen little, if any, polishing. I declined to have the hands and indices relumed, even though it is possible to get great results with these as I felt it was fitting to the general feel of the watch. If you feel differently, there are a number of places that can work magic on these.
The 44mm case with 19mm lug width is sadly a bit too large for me, which is why it is leaving the household. The Uncle Seiko reproduction waffle strap pictured comes along with the watch and is a perfect match.
I am asking €1300 for this ready-to-wear vintage diver, shipping included, paid via bank transfer. The watch and I are in Denmark, EU, and I will be happy to ship worldwide. I will accept returns within a week of receiving the watch, should the description not match the real thing.
Paperwork and additional photos from the watchmaker is included.
