Hi. Newby in this forum. Just bought a 1969 cosmic. How often should this watch take a visit for service?

If it came to you unserviced, you should find a local watchmaker to perform a clean, lube, adjust. If you don’t know of one, let us know where you are an someone can reccomend one (or one to whom you can send it). Like a used car you want a base-line of service so you know where it stands. Then about every 5-8 years thereafter depending on how much you wear it. But even if it just sits, the oils insides will dry out and you’ll get wear on the moving parts when you do run it

Great original strap and buckle! I just picked up a '69 Seamaster and it is great to see an example of an orginal for comparison.

Thanks for answers. The watch was on service April this year. Guess I will take it to the watchmaker every 4 years. Just to be safe..
