Sorry if this is a well-tread topic.

I've seen recommendations for Nesbit's in Seattle, ABC Watchwerks in LA and Al Archer. In general I prefer independent, low-volume, specialist watchmakers.

I reached out to Al but his dance card is full.

Nesbit's is an authorized service center, and I'm afraid of them going above the requested work, as it seems first party service centers do.

ABC Watchwerks seems to specialize in case restorations, with most of their traffic in Rolex, instead of specializing in Omegas.

I'm in SF, but don't much care about staying local - just don't want any missteps/surprises. I had an amazing watch come back with a surprise refinishing in the past and it haunts me - I'm new to vintage Omega so I thought I'd lean on the wisdom of the group in picking a watchmaker.

Thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations.
