·I recently purchased a 1998 Speedy with an unknown service history which is my first Speedy. I took it into a local watchmaker who has been recommended on vintage watch forums for him to see if the watch needed a service. He took it into the back and appeared to put it on a timing device then brought it back out and said it was running perfectly and didn’t need a service. I would have thought it would have at least needed to be lubed or had the gaskets replaced. Should I get a second opinion, or do you think I’m overthinking this.
