Archer doesn't play with them - who does?

Got a stuck 12hr totalizer on a watch just received and purported to be serviced and entirely in working order. Need to figure out a compromise with seller, and so to know my exposure.

    Thanks all!

Uhhh those watches are a nightmare to service I hear.. a lot of parts do not exist and Omega actually creates them to order...I've heard of a person sending one out to Omega and was given an estimate of like 2000....

Could give them a call to see. I think there is something to be said if Archer won't work on them because he has rescued some unsightly watches from the depths of hell.

You might try people who service Accutrons. I had mine done at Budget Accutron, but I wouldn't call it budget pricing. The guys who hang out HERE know a thing or two about where to get repairs & service done.

STS works on them. There's no magic with the chrono module, only the oscillator module can be a bit tricky. Where are you based? I know of a few guys in the UK that works with hummers.

I'M IN TEXAS, COULDN'T YOU TELL BY HOW BIG MY LETTERS ARE?

Thank you. I am soon sending STS a few watches, so I may just lump in the hummer.

Doesnt leave me a very good near-term resolution with the seller, though, as I would imagine I wouldn't find out a ballpark estimate to fix until weeks in.

perhaps Ipull just pull a number out of the sky for it. THE BIG SKY.

    Thanks again, Coleson

I've used Paul Wirdnam at Electric Watches in the UK. He's a specialist in electrics, does Hamiltons and similar for me. He did an f300hz for me a while back, quite reasonable, very good. Website is very informative on the subject of electrics, too. Certainly cheaper than STS, better than most Accutron guys, too. Contact him, he can ballpark y'all.

Second Paul at electric watches. He has fixed and serviced 2 of mine, excellent turnaround and value for money. He also has a lot of spare parts, including date wheels etc

Well, it sounds like I may be sending watches from Texas to all parts of the U.K., soon. (None for you, Spikispikester.)

Give Ludmil in Bulgaria a shout, I've found him more reliable that some other options mentioned here (not referring to STS obviously, sending it to them will set you back about £500 for a full service and two year warranty) and he's the goto guy for Accuquartz and Accutron in the watchtalk forums, anyway here's his email : [email protected]
