Just for the fun of it: 693.121 & 693.122. Made in 1937!

Remarkable. I once asked a Tudor expert about a watch I was considering, and he told me he had previously owned the watch with the consecutive serial number. It was very helpful information in that case, because these were military watches supplied in batches.

If you want to hear a story about a coincidence, ask @Bill Sohne about his mismatched clock. I don't recall the details, but I think he had a clock with mismatched numbers, and bought another clock with mismatched numbers. And he ended up with two clocks with matching numbers.

I didn't ment to agress you... I just didn't understood the meaning of the comparison, that's all... As for the Aero-Compaxes, nice models but unfortunately one has a dammaged dial with flat subdials and the other one just redone dial. Cheers.

Appreciated. The funny thing is that the second one is seen more often and may be the fantasy design of one of the major refinishers

Nobody should have to explain to you why finding two consecutive serial numbers is fun. The meaning of the comparison is self evident.

I love these consecutive number watches! I am doing a similar research with headphones, that has a serial from 0 to ~50k. I was able to find two that were only 4 apart, and being a watch person, I began to analyze its physical characteristics before getting to how different they sounded. I think that consecutive serialed things are very important to observe if there large unit to unit variations in a batch.

Thanks for sharing these consecutive serials. I have a fascination with these and Leica film cameras. I have found quite a few for the M3 & M2 cameras but this was a fun find on a very rare camera body

So, while my post is completely unrelated to watches, I have an appreciation for consecutive numbers and often the effort/time/memory it takes to log and find them. Thank you for sharing these!

I think it is the idea that these objects may have been in the same space (or even hands) 80 years ago and now end up together again.

Very nice these camera's. How many of them were made?

Exactly! And for these cameras, only 100 were made in 1956. They were a specifically made for use in the arctic

Extremely cool to find 2 consecutive numbers. Although my thesis is that rare and expensive executions have more survivors than 'average' batches. For instance Movado Polyplan. Total production: 1500-1700 pieces. I have records on about 60 of them so about 4%. Over 100 years old and - you already guessed it - I have a couple with consecutive numbers:

Actually I believe @kov and I have two of the same watches produced on the same day, consecutive serial numbers…

Why does the one look so much better than the other one?
