Hi folks, In selling my Albatros a guy last night enquired about the serial number and kept talking about the fact that there are so many fakes - even though I have a full service receipt from STS / Swisstec (Oct 18) and opened it so he could see inside. Anyway, I'm unsure where to find the serial number so wondered if someone could point out where it is for me? There looks to be some impressions on the underside edge by the crown but its so feint I cannot make anything out. I'm pretty sure STS wouldnt have serviced a fake anyway, but regardless its not fake. thanks
Bonerp, Once removed the caseback there should be a small Medaillon with the Omega mark, beneath then the caliber no# (1611) and then you should see the movement no# (i.e. serial number) of the watch. Easy to catch here (8th picture): http://watchguy.co.uk/the-beast-of-biel-the-omega-chrono-quartz-196-0052-calibre-1611/
