    Hi guys!

    New to the forums
I recently acquired a Vintage Omega Flightmaster Cal 911
It's a Sharp Watch coming in a 40+ years old, and a very unique one at that.

Its not in perfect shape, as the case would use a nice re-lapping
and the pushers and crowns have faded.
    Does need a new crystal.
But the Calibre 911 Movement is in perfect shape
has recently been servied and keeps great time
    Original Orange handset.

Original Omega Buckle not original band.

What could i sell this piece for in current condition?
Would love to sell on eBay or over Paypal
    Any advice?

    Thanks

What exactly do you need advice on? Check eBay completed listings to determine a ballpark price.

Just some feedback of condition for age from some experienced users if possible
I know suggested prices but condition factors are what i am most curious about
How does this one fair up to other vintage ones?
What would you sell the item for?

To be honest, unless it's been serviced by a reputable repair person, I'd be leery of the mechanical condition. I learned this the hard way:).
Also, the handset looks newer than the dial to me.

The time keeping portion of the watch is excellent
the service was done in Austin by CW21 certified watchmaker
    I purchased the watch pre-owned for $2000.00

Do you think I over-payed for the piece?

Not if you like it and plan to wear it. Very reasonable.

I would not touch the case.

Enjoy....only made for a few years so you are one of the few to have a nice one.

My original handset is also bright, so don't worry about that.

I'm a bit gun shy about the servicing since I had to send mine back 3x to a well known Omega repair shop. As far as the price, as TexOmega said, it seems reasonable if everything really works properly.

As far a selling it for a profit, try listing it on eBay and see what happens. Maybe, but probably not for much more.

As you are a retail watch dealer. Rolex specialist and Jeweler, I feel you are being less then honest with the membership here regarding the watch and your intentions.

I am only trying to acquire knowledge on vintage pieces and pricing from a educated community.
    knowledge is power!
I don't see how this could offend anyone, as its not like im trying to push anything.
Just here for the community and information to better help me make decisions in the future.

So you want us to help you out so you can profit from our experience? ::rant:::censored:: You're just another 'dealer' who comes here looking to milk us for our years of knowledge. Want to make vintage watches your profession? DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK AND RESEARCH....... or cut us in on the profits.

How often do we have to do this dance? What is this, the 3rd or 4th in the last few weeks? ::facepalm2::

Introduce, and contribute to the community and then you will see members that go out of their way to help with these types of questions....it really is that simple.

Dennis's frustration is shared with quite a many of us who get pretty disappointed with the "how much can I make flipping this" posting from dealers. If its your job you really are expected to know that stuff rather than crowdsource people to do it for you.

You managed to turn up not long after this guy: https://omegaforums.net/threads/urgent-watch-identification.21763/

Who turned out to be a complete headache for all of us until his exit so you can imagine why we're somewhat weary at this point.

When you do your research you may find a lot of nicer FMs out there. Candidly, you may have paid too much, particularly if you are trying to flip it. JMHO.

    Honesty. Whatever happened to honesty?

Man, what I would give to see a dealer's first post be something like.....

"Hi. I took this vintage ________ in on a trade and know very little about the brand. I'd like to sell it, but don't often play in the vintage game so I'd like to ask for some assistance." Then some pictures, and a few specific questions.

    Wouldn't that be GREAT????? :)
