So I was presented this interesting proposal. A Patek that I was always super interested in owning came up and was proposed a straight swap for my Silver Snoopy. The Patek is a now discontinued 6000G, and is in mint condition B&P’s. I have several other Speedmasters but wear this one the least of all. Am I bat shit crazy for even entertaining this or should I let my common sense kick in and walk away?

    Thoughts?

I would. The blue dial 6000G is stunning.

I couldn’t do it, but the Snoopy would be getting a lot of wrist time if it were mine.

The model offered was a grey dial, so a few years older than the blue listed in Joma. I agree it is an interesting trade, but it opens the question about future value vs. wearability. Pateks generally hold value well, but as well as the Snoopy? I’d probably end up wearing the Patek more, but I suspect I’ll be kicking myself for letting the Snoopy go.

I couldn't do it either. You would regret the trade in a while !

Which one do you actually like more? Don't get too caught up in the name on the dial. If it was me, I would enjoy and wear the Omega more than that particular Patek reference.

Also, which one is harder to re-acquire. If you found that you missed the Snoopy, what would it take to get another?

Omega might just release another snoopy for fun. Or for profit.

As @Bushido said - which one do you like more. To me it doesn't seem that you are that tied to the Omega as you stated you wear this one least of all. If that's the case switch it up and go for the Patek.

Well looking at the recent release of the panda dial Olympics 2020 speedmaster its clear to see Omega doesn't mind reissuing pieces that are popular.

That's a tough choice tbh. Really tough. But if it were me, I'd probably keep the snoopy. But that's just me.

Swapping a watch that you wear the least for a watch that you are super interested in seems to be a no-brainer. Go for it.

But have you actually tried the PP on the wrist? I find that sometimes, seeing a watch in person can be underwhelming and you might change how you feel about it.

Sure, I'd do it. For whichever gets more wrist time, why not?

The blue 6000 only one year production , 240 caliber , white gold ...A lot for this price
    6000 is not a mainstream choice , i love mine .
Grey is nice also (on IG look at my firend petitsamourai ) , very versatile watch , you could wear it with costum or jeans .

Last the black one , the historic one .. but i prefer the 2 other

(sorry for my english :) )
