Seiko Watches on eBay Megathread - Grand Seiko, Seiko 5, Prospex, Diver, Vintage & Chrono

We have a discount / budget watch deals on eBay thread but its mostly vintage Swiss, this is a thread for modern Seikos including brand new watches, good first watches for collectors, the best watches for kids to get started at an affordable price.

@Trev and his son have a bunch of modern & vintage Seiko divers, the SKX007, SKX009, SRPK29K black dial & SRPK31 cream dial which are pretty impressive and well made automatics at their price point.

I know there are a few others like the Seiko Presage dress watches and the Alpinist which I don’t really understand, but I guess is meant to be similar to a Rolex Explorer or Aqua Terra that are quite popular, I’ll probably get to those eventually but stick to mostly the divers and the Seiko 5 line initially as they’re the ones that are most interesting for me and @Trev, along with others like @STANDY.

As these tend to be cheaper and will often be newer watches, we’ll add auctions too but likely a lot more buy it now listings by sellers with significant sales history at decent prices to ensure you get what you’re looking for. We’ll also try to spread out the location to cover the USA, Europe and Asia as much as possible.

We’ll try to keep the rules the same as the other eBay threads, any discussions should be elsewhere in the Seiko topic but if they start here we can just move them to their own topic so not a big deal.

My son (who is 10) loves his SRPK31 Diver. I think it was under $180 from Ebay, which is exceptional value for a first watch that even has day/date functions. He does try to look after it, but it still takes some hard bumps and has held up totally fine. His watch runs a bit fast, but our others are surprisingly accurate and consistent. Clasp feels somewhat cheap and noisy. The rest of the build is excellent.

The Seiko helped spark his interest in watches, so I'm a big fan.

Watsons are a generations old family jeweller here in Northern Tasmania, totally trustworthy and have great deals on Seiko.
