I really like the look on these. On a local listing someone is selling one at a good price but the all the lume has turned black overtime. I mean literally black. First time I saw the lume turn in such a way. Other than that the watch looks in good shape. Sorry I have no pictures to put up as it’s interesting to see but I deleted them after I checked it out.,

I like it - it's very comfortable and accurate. In the past 3 days, after I had to re-set it to move the hands forward 12 hours because the date change was off by 12 hours, it has been running an even +3.0 sec/day.

And it's somewhat refined looking rather than flashy or bright. The turtle cased Seikos fit me better, and this doesn't try to rotate 60 degrees from flat on my wrist like my Solar PADI Tuna. The keeper also doesn't slide too easily like with my Tuna, so the strap doesn't hang out and flop around. I think my Tuna tends to sometimes fit too tight, or too loose, while the hole spacing on this turtle strap fits me better.

In the first 4 days it gained an average of +3.8 sec/day (and was between +3.3 to +4.1 sec/day when I checked it each day). So, the total is close to +3.36 sec/day over the 7 days I've measured it. In comparison, most of my Omega and Rolex automatics run about +/- 1 sec/day, except for my Ti Planet Ocean 9300 which has averaged +3.7 sec/day over the past 4 years since I bought it March 2016 (1220 days recorded in WatchTracker app for that average). Even my freshly serviced 2013 Moonwatch averaged +2.7 sec/day over the 8 weeks after Thanksgiving.

The color changes in the different light, sometimes black and sometimes gray. (ignore the lunch I dropped on the crystal). IMG_5932.jpeg

If I view the ceramic bezel dead-on then it's deep black, but at an angle with reflections on the glossy bezel then it's gray.

100% agree with every word. This is my 6th turtle and I like it a lot. They would call it King Turtle for no reason!

I already have a lot of turtles. So never considered getting a king turtle. Until your reviews. Argh.

I bought this NIB on another site. I like it for two reasons: It is deep olive green (and came with an uncomfortable green leather band,) and its a freaking compass! I bought a handmade Bund strap from a nice guy in the UK, it is olive-grey-green depending on the light. It looks good, wears well, and keeps time. Plus, if I ever get lost without Google Maps I'll find my direction!

Review credit goes to @larryganz , I'm just shaking my head and agreeing with him. But, you will not be disappointed with the king turtle. Fantastic watch for the money.

A razor wire watch band? I'm reminded of Steve Martin's short story in playboy "the Cruel Shoes". I think he worked the Cruel Shoes story into his act at some point.
    Found it.
