Thank you for your kind words.
It's a automatic with I think 28000 bpm, dated on the back September 1971. 4WS5625-190056_zpse6e8a048.jpg

I am planning on my next purchase being either a original style hesalite005/sapphire006 moonwatch (still working on that) or a vintage birth year King Seiko or Grand Seiko. A hard decision I know. Obviously, if I get a King Seiko it would have to be placed on the other side of the watch box as I have a modern Grand Seiko already (in case their is still some hard feelings between the two brands). But a vintage Grand Seiko maybe right up my alley as well. I have not done my research on the ks/gs available in 1974 yet, so this project is still ongoing.

Bought this one back in 2016 at the Midland watch fair.. From a certain Mike Wood.. (Some of you here will know who he is).. Seiko 7025-8099 also known as “poor man’s 62 MAS”..Case shape reminded me of a “baby panerai”..I got it serviced, sourced a nice vintage tropic strap and sold it..

I’m curious to know what Seiko lovers think about the modified watches that are commonly available. I’ve seen a number that I find attractive, and it seems to be a “thing” to switch out bezels and dials, for example, to individualise watches. In the Omega world such a thing would be met with horror but I get the feeling this is not the case with Seikos.

Am I right, or are there some “rules” about what is acceptable and what is not for collectors when it comes to modifications?

A recently-found NOS bezel has made a big difference to the look of my 6105-8009... the little case flaws hardly bug me at all now that the bezel matches the pristine dial

With the arrival yesterday of my 6105-8119, I noticed today that my vintage divers all have 150M resist dials... not done consciously, but kind of a fun unintentional result.

Interesting day dial. Is that Roman numerals I through VII? Also, it looks cleaner than the date dial. Replacement?

^ Yes roman numerals for day. Red box for sunday. Still common nowadays.

Whether replacement, not sure. Could be.

One of my first vintage purchases a few years back. My third i think. Didnt know how to fish then. Still dont know now actually. Just bought it cause i like turtles. Then and now.

Not yet sold on latest King Turtles though.
