At the end of the sixties SEIKO really had figured out how to make a great dresswatch. You cant go wrong in picking allmost any model... a 36mm Seikomatic-P 5106-8010.
Are these made without a second hand ? I know some older wristwatches had no second hand. On most watches, especially tiny sub seconds, a second hand only serves to let you know the watch is working.
My boss used to rock a two tone (black and gold) cartier santos. I wanted to recreate same effect with this - Seiko Black Gold Ring Ninja Turtle on Strapcode Jubillee I guess i failed. I suppose a two tone bracelet (is there one) or all black bracelet would do better.
I've been looking for a two tone black and silver or brown and gold expansion band for a couple of my watches. I'll keep my eyes open for something similar in a bracelet and check on lug sizes available. I have a older Speidel two tone silver and (Morroco ?) band that came with my Paul Peugeot but the finish has partly peeled off. Haven't found anything like it in late production Speidel bands. An all black bracelet shouldn't be too hard to find.
Thank you sir. All black PVD easy to source. I get from strapcode. Will also let you know if i come upon the color combos youre looking for.
My most recent pick-up 2 weeks ago - a solar PADI to go with my PADI turtle (and SKX 007, 009, 173, Blue Lagoon turtle, and Astron chronograph)...
The Seiko Solar PADI vs my Ti Planet Ocean 9300. The iPhone makes them look the same size, but Planet Ocean is bigger.
1972 JDM Lord Marvel Weekender 5606-7240. Love the hacking day/date in both languages. A lot of watch for $250. A shout out to Nonkun0508 in Tokyo!
