Love the strap pairing with the French Marine strap in tandem with the turtle. Last spring I was in Thailand and was on the hunt for vintage Seiko and found both new and vintage prices to be far far above what they are in the states due to demand?

Picked up this Seiko SPB069 from a Rolex Forum member yesterday in NYC...
I must say, this deep dark blue enamel dial - with the lacquered off white hands and Roman numerals ...and the golden crescent moon second hand counterweight..is simply gorgeous... I can stare at this Seiko all day. Pictures don’t even tell the story. One has to have it on. Sometimes the dial looks wet , others times matte with a pebbly surface. Color varies in many shades of dark blue ...I like the way the enamel dimples at both the center of the dial and around the date window- Gives great depth to the whole dial. Yeah I know it’s not Seikos best movement - and the exhibition caseback is no big deal - still this watch is ( for blue dial) fans something to drool over. The seller 7D117993-7497-46FA-891B-854EE6A7102F.jpeg Threw it on a dove-grey calfskin strap from Molequin...I like the contrast.

In Coimbra (Portugal) this week for business meetings and this gets delivered at home after month in shipping. Got this on eBay on first week of December and got delivered yesterday. Picture from seller's listing and will get my hands on this when I get back home on Saturday.

Could we consider a poll? I'd say a lot have a seiko in the collection. I have, and flipped several along the way. As brand moves up may yield some interesting discussions

No bargains to be had in Thailand anymore. I have a few Seikos but never bought any here. New ones are expensive as are vintage. About the only thing that is cheaper is servicing. Parts availability isn't too bad either although there is the odd EBay seller that takes the piss.

Yeah, didn’t buy anything in Thailand - just vacationing. I bought mine on eBay from the U.S. watch was originally sold in Canada in ‘73 - appeared to be all original and I had it serviced with a new Klein crystal.

That´s my old beauty from the 70s.

A black dial where a part turns into grey depending on the surrounding light.
Put a vintage strap on it, now it´s a keeper, the day before i thought about selling her. ;)

Snagged an OEM mesh bracelet on eBay. Happy with the result.

This bracelet looks great on the watch. Better than the NATO i have it on. Thanks for sharing :). Now I could figure out how to get the world timer to show another country time :)
